In the previous blog, I mentioned we have two more editors finishing editor training, and it is my pleasure to introduce Suzanne Langford, our newest Savant editor.

Suzanne says,"As a Savant Books and Publications editor, my role is to ensure your work is beyond even your expectations! I'll be there every step of the way, helping you say exactly what you mean. Tom Robbins says it well: 'Challenge every single sentence; challenge it for lucidity, accuracy, originality, and cadence. If it doesn't meet the challenge, work on it until it does.' We can do that together. If your novel, children's book, YA fiction, or poetry explores the multidimensional nature of relationships, families or women across cultures, I would love to work with you.

"My own reading interests include a wide variety of social and multicultural novels, children's and young adult literature.  I tend to drift toward novels set in California (I'm a 3rd generation Los Angelino) or the Deep South.  A few favorites include The Silver Cloud Cafe (Alfredo Vea' Jr.), East of Eden. (Steinbeck), and Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood (Wells).

"As a teacher educator (PhD in Education, University of Washington) my professional areas of interest and expertise are reading and writing acquisition and disability. I have over 20 years of experience working with teachers and linguistically and culturally diverse students (PreK- Adult) and writing, editing and publishing academic research."

Well said, Suzanne, and welcome to the Savant family (ohana).
