QUANTUM DEATH IS UPON US
March 12, 2016It's difficult to put a finger on whose idea both the plot and romance twists were in QUANTUM DEATH (Savant 2016). It seemed like both came about simultaneously and serendipitously for both A. G. Hayes and myself, Raymond Gaynor, during a series of phone chats about a new Koski and Falk adventure between THE CHEMICAL FACTOR (Savant 2015) and his upcoming work, FINDING KATE (Savant, currently in production). I had the pleasure of experiencing something like this when William Maltese and I came up with TOTAL MELTDOWN (Borgo/Wildside 2013). With William Maltese, it was a directed synergy; with A. G. it was as if the characters spoke to us and told us each what to write. Spiritual, some might call it.
One of the advantages of being a published author is meeting others, especially those destined for greatness like A. G. Hayes and William Maltese. Writing with them is a thrill I'll never forget. It's one of those "life-events" that determines one's life. With QUANTUM DEATH's release, A. G. and I have continued our lively phone chats and have begun scoping out a sequel tentatively entitled "The Bridge at Victorio Veneto." In the end, I can only say that it is the authoring journey that defines one, and, if some suitable stories appear along the way, all the better.
But now it's time to stop talking about QUANTUM DEATH and commend it to you for your reading. I think you'll find within its page-to-page thrills and its twisty plot all the makings of a can't-put-it-down "good read."
